Wójcinski/Szmanda Quartet

Overall this is a brilliant free jazz/improvised music album, bold, adventurous and interesting.” - Jazzis

Although pianist Szymon, trumpeter Maurycy, and bassist Ksawery are not only brothers but also accomplished veterans of the dynamic jazz scene in their native Poland, it wasn’t until drummer Krzysztof Szmańda came along in 2014 that the Wójcińskis had ever all played together professionally. Their 2016 debut recording, Delusions, proved to be a marvel of intensity and bold expression.
