About Blues Bash

The Vancouver Island Blues Bash features local, international, and regional blues and R&B artists/groups in both free to the public and ticketed performances on the beautiful outdoor stage in Victoria’s Inner Harbour, Ship Point Picnic Site.

Due to Covid-19, the Victoria Jazz Society will not be presenting the usual three day weekend at Ship Point for the 2021 version of Vancouver Island Blues Bash. This is primarily due to infrastructure problems (staging, lack of portable washrooms, etc.). Additionally, the roll out of BC’s Restart Plan arrived too late for the Victoria Jazz Society to secure a stellar artist lineup that everyone could rock and groove to.

The Victoria Jazz Society will present a virtual mini-blues Blues Bash from August 30 to September 2, leading up to free-to-the-public jazz and blues performances at the Cameron Bandshell in Beacon Hill Park for two afternoons from 1-5pm on the Labour Day Weekend, September 4 and 5.
