Vancouver Island-based award-winning saxophonist/composer/arranger Rowan Farintosh, though primarily a jazz musician, takes inspiration from contemporary genres like hip-hop, funk, R&B, ambient, and progressive rock. He currently performs regularly with his own quintet at Hermann’s Jazz Club as well as providing a supporting role with popular local music groups. After spending two years at Toronto’s Humber College where he studied with world renowned saxophonists, Kirk MacDonald and Alex Dean, Farintosh now plans to release his first EP under his own name.
