Victoria’s own singer-songwriter and pianist Ashley Wey has performed prolifically around Greater Victoria, including many gigs at Hermann’s Jazz Club over the years. Joining Wey as a special guest for this performance will be trumpeter Dmitri Matheny from Detroit, who has been celebrated for his warm tone, soaring lyricism and masterful technique, and has been lauded as “one of the most emotionally expressive improvisers of his generation” (International Review of Music).
