Inspired by the soul, sass, and swing of the legendary Count Basie, Duke Ellington, and Nat “King” Cole, Kelby MacNayr’s Tiny Rhythm Kings is a tour de force of swing! MacNayr has forged his style under the mentorship of some of the great masters, including drummers Jeff Hamilton, Joe La Barbara, and Alan Jones and vocalists Louise Rose, Barbara Blair and Marion Cowings. MacNayr‘s love of jazz and world music has led him to being involved in every musical genre imaginable, but he has made his home where the magic of improvisation, authenticity and swing come together.
