Trumpet virtuoso and 2019 winner of the Victoria Jazz Society’s Lou Williamson Scholarship Award, Owen Chow leads a polished, vigorous, and mesmerizing jazz quartet featuring local rising musicians. Chow is a multi-award-winning trumpet player who grew up playing music in Victoria, before moving to Montreal to complete a degree in Jazz Performance at McGill University. After graduating in the spring of 2023, Chow has been performing at the many different jazz clubs in Montreal as a freelance trumpet player. Currently, Chow is pursuing his Masters of Music from the prestigious Manhattan School of Music. Owen’s talent and hard work have made him a rising star in Canada’s music scene, and he has played alongside Caity Gyorgy, Louis Hayes, Charles McPherson, and Melissa Aldana, amongst others.
