Cuban-born pianist and composer and now Victorian Pablo Cardenas leads one of Canada’s most exhilarating Latin jazz ensembles. Cardenas blends Afro-Cuban rhythms with modern jazz harmony and big-band firepower. With more than 20 years of performance experience, he has collaborated with leading Latin and jazz artists across North America. His West Coast Cuban Orchestra brings together top-tier Canadian musicians in a high-energy format inspired by the golden age of Cuban dance bands while incorporating contemporary improvisation.
