For Miles Davis’s 100th anniversary, Montreal trumpeter Ron Di Lauro brings a masterful tribute to Kind of Blue, the landmark recording by Miles Davis that forever reshaped modern jazz. A seasoned performer and educator with decades of experience, Di Lauro has appeared on numerous Canadian jazz recordings and is celebrated for his warm tone and lyrical phrasing. This special project revisits the modal innovations and atmospheric interplay that made Kind of Blue iconic. Di Lauro has previously performed in Victoria, though this marks his first TD JazzFest presentation of the full album concept.
