Rowan Farintosh is a saxophonist, composer, arranger, and award-winning performer based on Vancouver Island. Farintosh is primarily a jazz musician, but also takes inspiration from contemporary genres like hip-hop, funk, R&B, ambient, and progressive rock.
Through this diverse set of musical interests, Farintosh composes music based in jazz improvisation that is accessible to people with a wide variety of musical taste. Currently, Farintosh is focusing on completing his Bachelor’s degree in jazz performance at Vancouver Island University in Nanaimo after spending two years at Toronto’s Humber College.
