Ticketing Policy

Introduction

This Ticket Purchase Policy (“Policy”) outlines the terms and conditions for purchasing tickets to Victoria Jazz Society (“VJS”) presentations including the TD Victoria International JazzFest (“Festival”) and year-round presentations. By purchasing a ticket, you agree to be bound by the terms of this Policy. Please read it carefully before completing your purchase.

TD Victoria International JazzFest Ticket Packages and In-Person Sales:

Discounted Festival ticket packages are only available through the VJS box office, over the phone at (250) 388-4423 or in person at 975A Alston St. Victoria, BC V9A 3S5. The box office is open Monday to Friday 10am to 4pm for in-person sales of packages and individual tickets.

Non-Refundable Tickets

All tickets purchased for VJS presentations are non-refundable. We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, but we are unable to provide refunds for any reason, including but not limited to: illness, travel issues, or changes in personal circumstances.

Transferable Tickets

Although tickets to VJS presentations are non-refundable, they are transferable. If you are unable to attend the show you purchased tickets for, you may transfer your ticket to another person. The person receiving the transferred ticket must agree to the VJS terms and conditions, including this Ticket Purchase Policy.

Lost or Stolen Tickets

VJS is not responsible for lost or stolen tickets. Please ensure you keep your tickets in a safe and secure location. If you lose your ticket or suspect it has been stolen, contact our box office coordinator ([email protected] or call our office at 250-388-4423) immediately for assistance.

Ticket Sales

Tickets for VJS presentations are only sold through our official website or through the Royal and McPherson Theatres Society (RMTS) (for the Festival’s Marquee Series Presentations & “year-around” presentations at RMTS venues.) Please visit the RMTS website at rmts.bc.ca for more information about their privacy and ticketing policy. We cannot guarantee the authenticity of tickets purchased through third-party vendors or resellers.

Event Cancellation or Postponement

In the event that a VJS presentation is cancelled or postponed due to unforeseen circumstances, we will provide information regarding ticket refunds or exchanges on our website and social media platforms. We will contact ticket buyers to arrange refunds which are issued at the point of purchase via the method of payment used to purchase the ticket. VJS is not liable for any expenses that the purchaser has incurred as a result of the cancellation or postponement of event. Please note that refunds or exchanges may be subject to terms and conditions set forth by the VJS.

Free Events

The concerts at the Cameron Bandshell in Beacon Hill Park, the afternoon Pop-Up series and the daytime series at Bullen Park are open to the public and no tickets are required, although donations are welcome!

Right to Refuse Admission

VJS reserves the right to refuse admission to any person who does not comply with our presentation policies, including but not limited to: our Code of Conduct, individual venue admission policies, security measures, and age restrictions. In such cases, tickets will not be refunded.

Amendments to this Policy

VJS reserves the right to update or amend this Ticket Purchase Policy at any time without prior notice. We encourage you to review the Policy regularly to stay informed of any changes.

By purchasing a ticket to a VJS presentation, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Ticket Purchase Policy.
