Cuban-Canadian JUNO-nominated singer-songwriter Adonis Puentes was destined to be a music star. His album Sabor a Café, nominated as “World Music Album of The Year” at the 2014 JUNO Awards, is a modern Cuban music masterpiece. Puentes and his fraternal twin Alex Cuba, grew up playing music together in the vibrant town of Artemisa. The Puentes Brothers’ award-winning 2001 CD Morumba Cubana and Adonis Puentes’ 2005 solo debut Vida were critically acclaimed. With playful lyrics, horn-driven rhythms, and elegant soulfulness, Puentes’ music offers a rich and varied narrative.
