All-star jazz supergroup ARTEMIS performing live in June at TD Victoria JazzFest 2025 in Victoria, BC.

“A killer line-up of players, composers and performers…who converge on an extremely cosmopolitan, sleek, rhythm-forward, modern sound.” – NPR

Multinational and multigenerational supergroup ARTEMIS is a powerful ensemble of instrumental virtuosos. Founded by 7-time JUNO award-winning pianist Renee Rosnes, the quintet also consists of acclaimed Canadian trumpeter Ingrid Jensen, rising star tenor saxophonist Nicole Glover, the renowned Japanese bassist Noriko Ueda, and New York’s modern jazz icon, drummer Allison Miller.

After experiencing an ARTEMIS live show at the 2018 Newport Jazz Festival, Blue Note Records President, Don Was, signed the band to the label. Their third recording Arboresque (released Feb. 2025), has risen to #1 on the Jazz Radio charts and is a testament to the group’s evolving musical landscape featuring stellar arrangements and riveting originals contributed by all members of the band. It is no wonder that ARTEMIS has been awarded “Jazz Group of the Year” in the Annual Downbeat Readers Poll in both 2023 and 2024. Members of ARTEMIS have collaborated with Wayne Shorter, Corinne Bailey Rae, Bobby Hutcherson, Terri Lyne Carrington, Maria Schneider, Christian McBride, Chris Potter, Joe Henderson, Ron Carter and many more.  From original music to mind-bending arrangements, ARTEMIS performs with power, passion, and high-wire intensity. Witness the paragon of great modern jazz live here in Victoria as ARTEMIS makes their TD JazzFest debut in 2025!

Opening for this evening will be Kelby MacNayr’s Tiny Rhythm Kings
