Cory Henry

Monday, June 24 | Wicket Hall | 9pm

“Like many soul pioneers, Henry knows how to balance seemingly anodyne, amorous songs with cuts that seethe with social criticism. And like his forebears, Henry’s apt at synthesizing gospel, jazz and R&B into a holistic sound.” – Downbeat

Brooklyn-born, GRAMMY Award-winning keyboardist, multi-instrumentalist, and singer-songwriter Cory Henry started playing both the piano and B3 organ at just two years old. Since he began his music career in 2006, he has toured with musicians such as Bruce Springsteen, Michael McDonald, Kenny Garrett, and The Roots, and has collaborated with artists such as Kanye West, Vulfpeck, Imagine Dragons, Dr. Dre, and more. During his time as a member of Snarky Puppy, he garnered three GRAMMY Awards. In 2021, Henry’s album Something to Say was nominated at the 2022 GRAMMY Awards for “Best Progressive Album” and as a co-writer and producer on Kanye West’s Donda and Eric Bellinger’s New Light. Most recently, his latest 2022 album, Operation Funk, has garnered attention from fans all over the world as he delivered sold out shows in Israel, Spain, Amsterdam, Australia, and throughout the United States along with playing most of the major music festivals.
