The Victoria Conservatory Metro Quintet is a group featuring some of Victoria’s top college and high school musicians. They are all members of the Metro Big Band, a full 17-piece jazz big band led by Juno-nominated saxophonist Ryan Oliver at the Conservatory. The group performs swinging straight ahead jazz focusing on music from the tradition that inspires them including Duke Ellington, Count Basie and Charles Mingus.
